Tonight we are young

What a true saying that every girl should have a little black dress in her wardrobe (is it really a saying?), alright this one is not a cocktail dress it`s a simple, knitted, tube dress that is practical and wearable and what I most like about it that it is so versatile and can easily be styled as a top with skinny jeans too. I`ve been living in it since Autamn (what a shame!) and I sort of think I need another one for Summer.

Let`s party!

As you`ve probably noticed I`m not a trend driven person. Seriously, you now have a chance to look at the fashion blogger who is wearing colour blocking outfit for the first time. It`s better late than never, isn`t it? These trousers are from Matalan and I`ll say they are the best ones I`ve ever had as I`ve been searching for pants that could be chinos and smart trousers all in one yet sophisticated enough to wear with blazer or cardigan. They come with a thin blue belt that actually gave me an idea to style these green trousers with something blue.

London is a teenager

Hello there, hope everyone`s doing great! This was my outfit for this weekend in London while we visited Spitalfields. It was so much fun to check all those stalls and boutiques spread across the market. They have an Alternative Fashion Week there until 21 April with 14 shows a day. If you`re in London it`s the place worth popping in for a great inspiration!

Interview:Inverted Commas

I`m excited to announce a new feature to my blog- a series of interviews with designers. Today I have the upmost pleasure to publish this very first interview with illustrator Francesco from Inverted Commas .
Hope you`ll enjoy it!

1. Who would be your perfect almost dream collaboration with?

I'd love to work with some young fashion designers...I may think of that nearly in the future, I have to find the right person I guess, a young talented designer who appreciates my work as well! I'd love to collaborate with big names too, but I think this will be just a dream!

2. Your second passion after fashion?

I love painting, photography, art, travelling. I try to do all of that. And I love eating too! lol

3. It looks like you really adore Vivienne Westwood, what`s your most loved collection of her? Any other favourite british designers?

Yeah, I adore her and her work! Honestly I'm always amazed by each of her new collections, it seems like she can reinvent herself each time, staying loyal to her fashion sense! Her first collections are iconic, she created punk, she was a pioneer of fashion and I love this. If I have to name a collection I love from the past, I think that HARRIS TWEED from A/W 1987/88 is quite inspiring. But as I said, I always wait impatiently for her new collections! I think Alexander McQueen was another great fashion designer who brought lot of fresh air into the world of fashion.

4. Can you be inspired by works of other artists, if yes, so who?

I've always loved colors, as you can see from my illustrations, so I've always been inspired by artists who can use colors in a wise way. But I'd say I'm literally inspired by lots of artists who work in very different ways; so not only painters, but photographers too. Any kind of artist. I like Egon Schiele, Mark Rothko, Keith Haring, Joseph Beuys, Luigi Ghirri to name a few.
5. You`ve just added more styles to your shop, tell us about them.

Yes, I've recenlty added four new designs/tote bags. I've been working on them during last months and I'm quite proud of the final result. Each one of them comes from different directions, I'd say.

For example, I made a sketch on a post-it some time ago of a girl with the Sun and the sea inside her head/hair and that's where BABY BLUE came from.

It happens very often, that's the way I work I guess. MISS DEER follows the idea of mixing animals and humans, even if this time it's a deer mask; I love deer, they're elegant animals and it's not the first time I "use" them.

LOVERS is an ADAPTATION of a previous watercolour I made some time ago.

And then, I decided to make a new version of the Giraffe Boy&Elephant Girl tote bag

since I think it's the most successful design of INVERTED COMMAS and I think it identifies the image of my shop quite well.
I hope everyone's going to love these designs as much as I do!

Paradise is where you are

While the whole word is being obsessed with mint shades and pastels colours, I recently discovered bright red. It`s far from Valentine`s Day and I`ve never been a fan of it but I definitely need a bit of red in my life now.

This sweater is from
Sheinside and it`s special vintage print of red and green roses somehow reminds me of traditional Russian folk art, definitely a statement piece!

For the first time in my life I had outfits planned when suddenly this terrible flu knocked me down.I have no idea how this could happen and I`ve managed to miss all hot and summery days, that was a real shame to pass those truly hot days(+28C)in bed. Back to normal life now with our typical British drizzling, grey clouds and wind.
This sweater from
Sugarlips Apparel is pretty much a perfect thing for such a weather, it even has a hood, what else would you wish when you don`t know what to expect sun or rain?
