Leopard print

I`ve got two looks on todays menu. Each outfit has a special element- one piece of leopard print. Can`t say that I ever was particularly interested in animal print and I`m not even sure if it`s on trend now (that is not too important though) but I feel I`d like to experiment with it now. Both looks are easy and wearable. First one is more casual tweed+ leopard trilby hat. Second one is a silk blouse with neck tie paired with leopard print maxi skirt that is simple and utterly flattering plus knitted jumper(optional) Bag

Everyone wants sun

Finds like this real soft leather trousers for 99 p in a thrift shop sometimes makes you experiment with your style and fashion tastes. Never tried leather pants before and have always thought very carefully before buying leather things, luckily these turned to be extremely comfortable that`s a big plus for them. As Coco said luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not a luxury.
Actually this outfit somehow reminds me Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction.
Satchel bag-here

Day 2
Skinny trousers + plaid shirt + plaid oversized coat

Everyone wants sun

Spring has finally come to England

Thank you all for your sweet comments, it`s always so nice to read them.

Have a great weekend too!

From the runway

Well I find it pretty hard to resist not to post the collection of Jean-Charles de Castelbajak (Fall 2011). So here I am posting it for those who didn`t get to watch. Love it all over for interesting details, prints, hats, wide-leg trousers and of course plaid things! Very different very unique alongside with the fact that this is the case where the catwalk fashion work fabulously for real life.
I suppose everyone`s got his favourite cosy duvet. I`ve also got mine (plaid one of course) soft and fleecy that I like to throw around the shoulders during the Winter and even during the Summer, you know it`s England, to keep myself warm. I actually wanted to wear it outdoors too at that time I wasn`t brave enough to do that just was imagining how it could look with a belt and gloves. And here it is! You can see it with Jean-Charles de Castelbajak. Plaid duvet coat, plaid duvet trousers and even skirt do the talking and what they say is duvet do look chic!

Blue blue blue...and a horse.

Henri Cartier-Bresson People of Russia

Todays post devoted to works of French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. That`s probably not that much about fashion at all as he is called a father of modern photojournalism, who made street photography and reportages and events. It`s more of historic reality caught on camera and saved forever in his photographs. He worked exclusively in black and white, he said:"I`ve never been interested in the process of photography, never, never. Right from the beginning."

"Riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma"-Churchill about Russia, 1939
Kazansky train station
Pretty mother waiting for her son in the park "I tried to", says Cartier Bresson-"get a direct image of people going about their daily life"

Arbat, 1972 1954, Moscow 1954,Moscow

"Any purchase is quiet a decision. One often sees couples choosing together even such things as a pair of stocking for the wife"-Bresson

In opening Fashion Show at the All-Union House of models the shop`s head announced:"By decree of Soviet Government much more attention is given to fashion." She went on to describe the Soviet new look:"The silhouette should be natural-no more exageratted padding in the shoulders. The line is smooth." But the new creations or anything in silk and wool are chiefly for ladies of the priveleged classes. For the ordinary Russian woman a simple cotton print dress is not only a basic attire but almost a peak of fashion.- Life, 1955
