You`re still in my heart

There was no excuse not to wear this hat with this outfit. Allowing imagination and creativity to run a life where accessorising is concerned. The initial intention was to recreate 50-s-60-s silhouette by opting for little black dress and vintage dogtooth blazer.
Joking aside, when it comes to a bag. Heart shaped sequinned clutch . Possibly girly but so Valentine`s Day thing!

Wide Trousers

Wide leg trousers. They are a huge trend now and trully classic and elegant. Flowing and luxurious. I`ve always had different variations of these trousers in my wardrobe and may defiinitely call them a key item. And... obviously paired with high heels!

Stylish blogger award

I feel incredibly privileged to be awarded Stylish Blogger Award by Kelly from Style Forever After , a lady with a very definite sense of style, she always makes me admire her!

Alright I`ll start it off!
1. I think I`m very grounded person and this probably comes with age but I truly believe in miracles (it`s actually a secret so don`t tell anyone:)
2. Born and brought up in Siberia in Russia, I`ve got a snow in my blood and feel happier in white winter rather then in grey and rainy.

3. Our 2 years old venture Elekon Chic Boutique dedicated to vintage and modern vintage bags. The name of the shop comes from the first part of my name (Elena) and part of my husband`s name who`s my partner in business and life (Konstantin). I`m going to continue working with all the energy and enthusiasm to improve the shop in many ways as it`s so fascinated to be involved in all that sort of things.
4. I`ve also got a little 2 years old daughter Vera who`s crazy about cars.
5. It seems like I always struggle to remember designers and just love spotting on beautiful looks and creations.

6. I adore small towns, they are so charming. When we travel around the villages and small towns I tend to forget all my worries and it takes me away from everyday concerns.

7. I don`t like fantasy, fantastic fiction, thrillers, as I always wish to know more and more everyday. This interest in history probably comes from the education-International relations- and five years of studying history, politics, negotiations, economics etc. Perhaps history this is where my love for vintage has it`s deep roots.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to read my posts and leaving a comment, as all your words are really encouraging and inspiring, all the followers and occasional readers always been a big supporters!

Thank you so much again, Kelly!

Now according the rules I shall give this award to 7 bloggers of my choice. If you wish to accept this please name seven things about yourself, give it to 7bloggers and put a link on my page please:)

So here I go!

First 2011 post

First post of New 2011 Year! Hope you all guys had lovely holiday and it`s time to wave good bye to festive Christmas time and glitzy outfits. And we`re slowly approaching to Spring, yes it`s still cold and we`ll probably be having more snow during this winter but it`s like a need of change after all. That`s why I`ve been observing new Spring fashion and will be doing more posts about Spring trends and collections.
We are also getting more bags in the shop as new Spring stock is coming, I`m always excited about it. I`m planning to make shops update in our blog.
These are photos from the day in London taken somewhere in Oxford street area. As perhaps most of the readers know that I`m under the hats influence at the time. And I`m proudly presenting a new piece to you. Vintage 50-s wool hat. Looks elegant but not too old-fashioned.

I love getting inspiration from catwalks although find it hard to sort out all that collections of designers showing in London, Paris, Milan, New York. I prefer to notice a key piece of the season that is on trend and that I fall in love. That happened with this Spring 2011 collection of Jason Wu, I was amazed to see turbans on runway as this is now my new finding for the Year and I`m just beggining to discover the charm of turban. Thank you guys for your sweet comments they inspire and make me move forward!
