Wearing a turban

Wearing a turban is a result of my recent interest in hats, which I never thought I could do.I never thought I could be brave enough to try this as a turban always seemed like the very Eastern style, something Indian for me. And was really amazed to see how elegant it looked on ladys from 50-s, when they were wearing turban hats with a skirt costumes accessoried with gloves and ladylike bags. Here it is my interpretation of the look for the modern times. And it`s so exciting to try and even reveal new styles. Trying a new hat it`s like a new adventure.
Hope you like it.

Dashing throught the snow

The first thing is - thank you guys for your comments and Merry Christmas everyone! May all your wishes come true!!

I was pretty lucky and tempted to wear this red coat during this festive time. It`s of classy cut, mixed wool and cashmere, sleek and cosy indeed. As we still got snow and icy roads and pretty cold. Very Christmassy! Nevertheless the holidays we continue trading and awaiting new stocks of more and more bags. These two are also new ones from modern vintage (very 80-s)range. They`ll be listed very soon.

Inspiration:Vogue 1950-s

Todays inspiration- VOGUE. The reason why I`ve got a deep interest of fashion of 1950-s is for it`s elegance. Really appreciate these feminine, sophisticated and sexy looks. Not only women looked so stunning, men also were so neat, classy, smart.
It`s so charming, isn`t it?
Vogue,1952, Paris edition.
Vogue 1952 Woman and Beauty 1953, and again...what a hat!I`ve also included Harper`s Bazaar, Christmas issue, December 1955 , as the styling is captivating, orange and black colour combo is so posh! And have a look at that hat! Piece of art

One top-several looks

Enjoying the snow and cold winter.

Thanks God were`re not travelling this year anywhere as I feel sorry for people stuck in Heathrow and most of Europe airports. Who knew...

Layering up another winter look I realised what an ever such an important thing in your wordrobe could be the simple casual crop top. I`ve been wearing it recently and mostly for layered looks.
Look 1.
Rasberry red vintage pants+grey top. Generally vintagy outfit with a modern twist
Look 2. Chiffon dress+grey top. Girly and again vintagy thanks to the bag.Look 1. Skinny jeans+leopard print blouse+grey top. Just a casual cool look.
Look 2. Flowery print knee-high socks+skirt+grey top. Edgy and effortless.

Miu Miu Winter 2010

Firstly, thank you guys for your comments, they are so inspiring!

And the way back in Winter 2010, designer Miu Miu. You`ve probably guessed why I`ve chosen this collection for featuring in my blog, because of the fabric for sure! Texture, checks, warmth and coziness considered to be of a great importance. Eye immediately falls upon burst of colour and classy designs. Suits with trousers are obviously my best pieces. Narrow cut and flared-so classy! Don`t know where my love for tweed, tartan, wool started but I really can`t get enough of these fabrics.

Bright oversized bags add modern touch.
Faux fur leopard print mini coat, over-knee socks, mini skirt and bulky mittens- such an unusual combination and it`s so luxuriously glam!

Winter is back

So yes, it actually is, as everything is white again and it`s fascinating! The only thing that really upsets me now is post delays as lots of customers mailing us they`ve still not recieved their items, that`s sad but we can`t do anything about it and parcels are probably being stuck in snow. I`ve been awaiting for courier collection for 4 days and each day they tell me they apologise and rebook for the next day. That`s annoying...
Enough of these talks, let`s get back to the outfit. Just pretend you see these pants for the first time. Cold was really an excuse for me to wear them again and again. And checks. I`m a big fan of different checks, tartan, tweed etc. And moreover they`re on trend now! Waist coat is vintage, it`s warm and cosy, paired with denim shirt (with checks trim of course) and corduroy jeans. Bag is on sale now, that`s the same designs as we`ve got earlier but of a different colour- it`s blue.

Stay warm and stay chic!

Super Model-Vlada Roslyakova

Featuring a model-Vlada Roslyakova.

Vogue Paris declared her one of the top 30 models of 2000. She began modelling in Russia, then moved to Tokyo. When she arrived to New York City, she began modelling for well-known designers. She is known for her distinctive walk and doll-like looks.

She`s got the most beautiful eyes and hair. I`ve enjoyed seeing her at the most runways, and she`s definifetely been in high demand in Fashion World. Love the images she creates- romantic, serious, feminine. Just thought I`d mention that we`re from the same native-town and her real name is the same as mine, she just changed it to Vlada when she began modelling to be more distinctive and original.
